We weren't allowed to take pictures inside, unfortunately, but we figured we'd break the rules just a little bit by taking some from the doorway. The eight huge statues show the pharoah as Osiris, and these also act as roof supports. The walls and ceiling are decorated with scenes of the king in battle. It is quite amazing how well the paintings have survived - mainly due to the whole temple being buried deep in dry desert sand for much of its history!
