Apollo-Soyuz Test Project was a collaboration of the U.S. and Soviet space agencies. This is part of the docking module, which was designed to enable docking between the Soyuz spacecraft and the U.S. Apollo.
The three meter long cylinder served as a docking device, and as an airlock between the different atmospheres of the two ships.
