Hanoi old-town is full of scooters. I don't mean there are a lot, I mean it's FULL. You can't walk on the pavement anywhere - it's covered in scooters. You can't walk down the road - it's covered in scooters. After two days here you simply stop hearing the horns... they're non-stop and the general attitude becomes 'go on then, run me over - you'll fall off too'.
