We arrived in Bangkok with nasty colds thinking a nice warm climate would help. It probably would, we just needed to find one which wasn't both under water and under a 'state of emergency' due to civil unrest (we arrived two days before the huge 'red shirt' protests which effectively closed the whole city down for almost a week). In the end we got over the colds and decided to flee to Vietnam - Thailand is still on my 'highly desired' list of places to see, as soon as they sort out their political problems.
